How the Week Number Works?

What week number is it today? A week consists of 7 days, running from Monday to Sunday. Week numbers are used to indicate which week of the year a particular date falls in, as well as to identify specific weeks and refer to certain periods within the year. Week numbering starts at the beginning of the year with week 1 and continues through to week 52 or 53, depending on how many weeks are in that year.
